Vicky Clark is the Sole Principal of VC Legal. Before launching the firm, Vicky worked for a number of years at Bristows, one of Europe's leading intellectual property firms. Prior to that, Vicky spent four years at Ashurst Morris Crisp, a large city law firm. During her time at Bristows and Ashursts, Vicky specialised in contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, focusing particularly on patents.

Vicky qualified as a solicitor in 1997. She converted to law after obtaining a first class honours degree in Human Sciences from St John's College, Oxford. Vicky's scientific background enables her to understand the issues that are specific to the businesses of clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. As a result, during her career she has worked successfully with a large number of biotechnology companies, helping them to develop, protect and exploit their intellectual property portfolios.

• Start-up companies (including spin-offs from universities)
• Fund raising via private equity, private placings or the stock market
• Patent infringement, validity and freedom to operate advice
• Due diligence on a broad range of commercial transactions
• A range of patent proceedings, including infringement, validity and entitlement proceedings
